Sachin and Saurabh recently joined the newly created Precision Analytics group at BCT Partners. In their role as data analysts, they are using machine learning and predictive/prescriptive analytics to create models to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of social programs for BCTs’ clients.
Sachin completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree program in Information Technology at the renowned Gujarat Technological University (Gujarat, India). While there, he became very interested in object-oriented programming and data structures. He then decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in Data Analytics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Saurabh completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications at University of Pune in India. After his undergraduate degree, he worked for two years at Reliance Industries Ltd. where he developed his expertise in the field of computer and data science and became interested in pursuing a Master’s Degree at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Q. How did you first become interested in the field of data analytics and machine learning?
Sachin – I am very interested in the ability to tell a story with data and the fact that machine learning can help us to identify solutions that will work on a more granular level rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Saurabh – I have always believed that it is important to give back to society and I believe that I can make a difference by using data to create models that can improve outcomes for social programs.
Q. Why did you decide to join BCT Partners?
Saurabh – BCT Partners is a company that is always open to new ideas and is not afraid to think outside the box. The staff are innovative and they want us to push the envelope in terms of our thinking and our approaches to solving problems for our clients.
Sachin – I really respect the work that BCT does with non-profits and government agencies. I always wanted to work for a company that is making a difference in the world. At BCT Partners, we help our clients to gain a better understanding of how to make social programs more effective so that they can help more people improve their lives.
Q. What are some of the ways that you think you can help people with Precision Analytics?
Sachin – We are currently working on a project that will help us predict the financial stability of a non-profit and how they can use their funds as effectively as possible to help their constituents. This model can then be used to help other non-profits as well.
Saurabh – We also want to create a tool for non-profits so that they can use their existing data to make more effective decisions as to which programs to fund and how to get the best outcomes possible. Right now, most non-profits would need to hire analysts to help them create models and then interpret the data for them. This can be expensive and time-consuming. Our technology solution would streamline the process for them and they would not need to invest in hiring more people.

Sachin – I am really looking forward to doing amazing work for our clients at BCT Partners.
Saurabh – I feel the same way. I think that our work is going to truly transform lives.
