Oregon's Community-Centered
EMS Training Pathway
Become an EMT for Free
Are you interested in a career as an emergency medical technician (EMT)? BCT Partners is launching Oregon’s Community-Centered EMS Training Pathway to train the next generation of EMTs in Oregon. Funded by the Healthy Oregon Workforce Training Opportunity Grant, this program offers free education and hands-on job opportunities through June 30, 2027. With placements available in Baker, Clackamas, Clatsop, Coos, Lincoln, Multnomah, Umpqua, and Washington County, this is your chance to build a meaningful career, serve your community, and join Oregon’s growing EMS workforce.
The Pathway offers scholarships for participants to join accelerated three-month or standard six-month EMS education programs at eligible community colleges for free. Eligible candidates may be hired by the Metro West Ambulance Family of Companies while still students.
The Healthy Oregon Workforce Training Opportunity (HOWTO) grant program is a partnership between the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Health & Science University and is administered under the direction of the Oregon Health Policy Board.
