Dr. Randal D. Pinkett

I am the President and Chief Executive Officer of BCT Partners, LLC.

BCT Partners is a management, technology and policy consulting services firm that works with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and corporations to improve organizational effectiveness and support strategies for change. We combine industry- and sector-specific knowledge with a unique ability to translate customer needs into innovative and transformative solutions. WHERE I'VE BEEN

My background is in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Business Administration. In the past, I have worked at General Electric, AT&T Bell Laboratories and, most recently, Lucent Technologies on new technologies for mobile telephones.

My education consists of:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering,
  Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ,
  as a member of the USA TODAY College All-Academic First Team.
• Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science,
  Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, England,
  on a Rhodes Scholarship.
• Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.),
  MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA,
  in the Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) Program.
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering,
  Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA,
  on the Lucent Technologies Cooperative Research Fellowship Program (CRFP) and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Fellowship.
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Media Arts and Sciences,
  MIT Media Laboratory, Cambridge, MA.

My expertise is in the areas of management consulting, information technology and public policy.

WHAT I'VE DONE

• As an undergraduate I competed on the Rutgers University Men's Track and Field Team as a high jumper, long jumper, and sprinter, winning NCAA Academic All-American honors.
• I was heavily involved with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), as a Regional Chairperson and member of the National Executive Board.
• In 1993, I started a company, MBS Educational Services & Training, LLC, that provides training and development for students and professionals. Here is an article on the firm.
• In 2001, I started my second company, BCT Partners, LLC. that provides management, technology and policy consulting services.
• In 2000, I was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine in their issue 30 Leaders for the Future.
• In 2001, I was chosen by Ebony Magazine as one of their 30 Leaders for the Future. Here is the picture.
