Community Economic Development Grantee Compliance Monitoring

The US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Community Economic Development (CED) program funds Community Development Corporations (CDCs) that address the economic needs of low-income individuals and families through the creation of sustainable business development and employment opportunities. Annually, BCT conducts compliance visits with about 30 CED grantees, ensuring that they are utilizing their grants funds as stipulated, are in compliance with CED policies, and identifying grantees in need of technical assistance. BCT is now wrapping up its fourth year, and preparing for a fifth, of this important work.
