Dr. Randal Pinkett, President and CEO of BCT Partners, wins fourth installment of NBC’s The Apprentice
(December 16, 2005 – New York, NY) After outlasting 17 other competitors, Donald Trump hired Dr. Randal Pinkett, President and CEO of BCT Partners, as The Apprentice and winner of a $250,000 ‘apprenticeship’ to work on casino expansions in Atlantic City during the live boardroom finale held in New York on December 15.
“The exposure of being on The Apprentice and working with Donald Trump has been incredible both for me and my company, BCT Partners,” says Pinkett.
NBC’s fourth installment of The Apprentice ended with an unexpected offer by Trump for Randal to share the apprentice experience with his competitor financial journalist Rebecca.
Pinkett respectfully declined Trump’s dual offer stating: “There is only one Apprentice, this is not the Apprenti. I believe, I was the clear and sole winner of not only the final challenge, but I also possessed an undefeated record as project manager, a winning team record throughout the season, and was considered the strongest candidate by my fellow candidates.”
Following the surprising conclusion to this season’s Apprentice, Pinkett announced his post-Trump plans for his multi-million dollar consulting firm, national speaking engagements and the 2006 release of his debut book tentatively entitled, Black Faces in White Places.
“The Apprentice experience has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, relationship building and competition. I met some wonderful people, and just as importantly, I strengthened my skills as a businessperson which can only strengthen my company, BCT Partners.”
Through his upcoming speaking engagements to audiences ranging from corporate executives and government officials to students and community leaders, Pinkett will share his lessons from the show as well as his experiences at BCT Partners providing comprehensive solutions that combine organizational strategy, emerging technologies and cutting-edge policy research. In 2006, Randal will also release a book tentatively entitled, Black Faces in White Places, co-authored by Dr. Jeffrey Robinson and Sakina Spruell-Cole. Dr. Pinkett, who holds degrees from Rutgers University, MIT and Oxford, will chronicle his experiences as an African American educated in predominantly white institutions.
